It has already been an occupied year for Samsung. The Galaxy S25, the Galaxy S25 Plus and the Galaxy S25 Ultra hit the shelves in January, and the new Galaxy S25 EDGE is apparently just around the corner, but it seems that there is a rumored phone that Samsung fans are even more excited.
In recent months, we have been listening more and more about an alleged Samsung Galaxy phone, tentatively known as Samsung Galaxy G fold. Although Samsung has given a brief indication of its multiple ambitions, the informants and leaks have been exceptionally active in sharing clues and rumors about what the next new product line could be in Samsung’s mobile portfolio.
Although Samsung is not exactly the first telephone manufacturer to produce a tri-gloss phone, see the amazing (expensive) Huawei Mate XT, has a solid opportunity to be the first to produce a worldwide tricolteum phone worldwide. Huawei is forbidden to do business in the United States, so Mate XT will not launch there soon.
And, as the original pioneers of folding telephone technology, many fans will look for Samsung to take reinstatements in the nascent triple sector. We could be waiting for a while still to get more official news, but until then, here is a summary of the five largest rumors of Samsung Galaxy Tri-Pliefd.
A completely new folding way
As indicated above, Huawei has already launched its tri-pleasing XT device in certain regions, but rumors suggest that Samsung can implement an even more unique folding mechanism in silver G.
While the hinges in the Mate XT fold in two separate directions, with a cover screen that technically is only one piece of the interior screen, the Glejo G could use a brochure -style form factor, with two panels that fold in and are placed on top of the other on the central panel.
Without a doubt, this would be a bold movement, but Samsung’s official teaser galaxy showed a Huawei style silhouette instead of this brochure style design, so the silver g might not necessarily be a device of its type.
An absolutely large exhibition
If the last rumors of triple visualization of Galaxy are correct, then the phone will come with a truly massive internal screen.
According to a report from the Korean media ET News, the G FOLD will have a 6.49 -inch coverage screen and a large internal screen of 9.96 inches. That is almost as large as the iPad of the base model, which registers diagonally 10.2 inches, although it is likely that the PLI is very present an internal screen with an even broader appearance ratio.
As a reference, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 of current Gen-Gen has a 7.6-inch internal screen, while the class leader of the class finds N5 Sports an impressive 8.12 inches screen. Keep in mind that a broader appearance relationship means that it will have a more useful space for multitasking and video reproduction, even if the rumored diagonal length of G FOLD does not seem much longer.
In addition, a 6.49 -inch cover screen would be the largest on a worldwide folding phone, overcoming the 6.3 -inch deck screens on Google Pixel 9 Pro fold, OnePlus Open and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6.
Out with the Z, inside with the G
As mentioned, Samsung could place its tri-glide phone as the first device in a completely new product line, instead of how the third model in the Z family, which is currently composed of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6.
Several rumors have referred to the device such as Fold Galaxy G, which can reflect its new folding mechanism in the form of G or simply be a way to differentiate the phone from its contemporaries Z fold.
If these rumors are true, the name change could reflect Samsung’s desire to market the new phone as a different class of device for the Z FOLD series, one that could be more attractive to business clients.
The largest screen, the versatility and familiarity of the software of a Tri-Plegable Samsung phone could make the device an attractive option for companies and professionals, and a new name could help Samsung attract this demographic group.
Alternatively, Samsung could just want to reproduce the novelty of his new device. It is worth noting that during the first unpacked event of Galaxy of 2025, the device was called the “multiflolo” instead of tri-flu, another new name, this time for the category of the product.
New battery technology
One of the biggest challenges behind the design of a folding phone is to develop a mass large enough to support three huge internal screens.
Until now, folding phone manufacturers have chosen to divide the batteries into two cells, one on each side of the hinge, but this brings inconveniences for the battery life, since two cells are never as efficient as a single cell of the same size.
However, Samsung has at least one patent for a new technology that could dissipate this chronic folding problem.
Specifically, Samsung contains a patent for a folding battery, which is a battery that could be folded with the hinges of a folding phone.
If this idea would work or not in practice, it is another matter completely, since the batteries would need to resist thousands of curves to be safe enough to use.
Such drums would also be bigger and heavy than a divided battery, so we are eager to see how Samsung addresses this problem.
A revelation in Samsung Galaxy unpacked (but maybe not)
Within the sacred halls of the rumor factory, there is debate about when, exactly, Samsung Galaxy’s tri-tour will be released.
A report from the Korean media ET News suggests that we will obtain an official announcement for the Samsung Galaxy Tri, through the next Samsung Galaxy unpacked, which we hope will happen at some time in the middle and as of the 2025.
If this turns out to be true, we could see the tri-galaxy tri-plief announced together with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7.
However, as we cover previously, a more recent notice suggests that the TRI-TRI-PLTOLD will not reach until later in the year, although the TIPSTER provided a bit context for this statement.
In any case, it is difficult to say when the tri-domestic will be launched with such an obvious lack of official information and rumors that point in both directions.
