- One UI 8 Beta is now live in certain countries
- Galaxy S25 phones are the first devices eligible for it
- The software could be launched in its entirety in July
We already expected that the beta program for an UI 8 (based on Android 16) begins in the next few days, and Samsung has announced that it has left live in several countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and South Korea.
According to the official announcement, the software update brings “a new era of software intelligence”, including multimodal AI, which essentially means improvements for AI tools that are already on phones with an UI 7.
Samsung Galaxy S25 phones are the first online for the Beta program, and although it can be extended to other devices on a later date, Samsung has not yet said anything about this. The company says it has worked closely with Google so that the UI update schedule can approach the main Android update program.
Here is information about Samsung’s next folding. While they are not mentioned by name, Samsung says that an UI 8 will be launched in its entirety along with “new folding devices”, and we wait for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Tri Fold G fold to appear at some point in July.

There are standard responsibility discharge that is applied with any beta: it executes this early software under its own risk, and you must expect some strange errors and behaviors in exchange for trying new functions ahead of all others.
If you are the owner of Galaxy S25 and you are in a country where One UI 8 Beta is live, you can get involved addressing Samsung members on your phone and starting session with your Samsung account. Then you should see an invitation to the Beta program.
Follow that invitation and get instructions to install the beta version, which will not cost you anything. Alternatively, you can wait until an UI 8 is officially expelled, most likely in July. According to everything we have heard so far, Google seems likely to launch Android 16 on June after its own beta test.
Among the most prominent aspects of UI 8 marked by Samsung, we have support for the update of aircraft for multiple Bluetooth connections, a quick sharing panel and an update for the Samsung Records application that adds “more convenient and intuitive characteristics” to maintain its organized reminders.
