We have known for a while that a Tri-Plano de Samsung phone is on its way, all the way into the released event of January was mocked, and the new leaks point to a real launch later in the year, as well as an official name for the device.
According to veteran Tipster Ice Universe (through Android Authority), we can expect to see the triple breakup coverage at some time in October. That would be put three months after the presentation of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, and three months before the expected introduction of the Samsung Galaxy S26.
In the most recent unleashed event, Samsung briefly mentioned the triple after announcing its new folding and the Galaxy Watch 8, but only to say that the rival Huawei Mate XT had not been forgotten, and was still on his way.
The rumors of the beginning of the year suggested that the tri-pliege would appear later in 2025, so it is not a great surprise that we are still waiting for it to occur. It remains to be seen if we will get a complete launch event for the occasion.
And this could be the name
We have already seen suggestions that the triple would be called the Galaxy G FOLD, but it seems that this will not be: as Galaxyclub saw (through Sammobile), the name Galaxy Z Trifold has been recorded in the native country of Samsung of South Korea.
It is the obvious name in favor: it conforms to the existing z names system, while clearly indicating that there is an additional fold (and an additional visualization panel) here. Nothing is safe to the full announcement, but it is a name that makes sense, and the official paperwork is available online.
However, the Galaxyclub team is not sure that this is the end of the story. The registered trademark can only be a type of position marker, they suggest, or Samsung can choose to give the phone a different name when it unfolds internationally.
Something we can be quite sure is the price. Huawei Mate XT Trit Trit costs a lot of money, and current estimates for the Samsung Tri-Fold suggest that it could delay $ 3,000- $ 3,500 (approximately £ 2,240- £ 2,610 / AU $ 4,635-AU $ 5,410).
