- We may see Samsung triple on October 31st.
- A full launch could happen some time after that.
- The new foldable was first presented in January.
We’ve been waiting for Samsung’s triple phone to be officially unveiled for almost all of 2025, and the latest leak from those in the know suggests it will finally be shown to the world before the end of the month.
Someone “familiar with the matter” told Bloomberg that the phone will be revealed at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in South Korea, which begins on Friday, October 31.
This isn’t a traditional product launch, however: the report says the triple phone will likely be displayed under glass, so the various executives gathered for APEC 2025 won’t be able to touch the phone or put it through any kind of durability testing.
This is the second time we’ve heard rumors that the Samsung triple will be revealed at APEC 2025, and given Bloomberg’s track record, it seems pretty certain that this will happen, even if we have to keep waiting to go out and buy it.
The waiting game
An earlier prediction that we’d see the phone at the end of September clearly hasn’t panned out, although Samsung itself has said the triple will launch sometime before the end of the year, and we’re starting to run out of weeks.
There are also question marks surrounding availability: reports have suggested that the triple won’t go on sale until November, although it at least looks like it will launch globally, unlike other Samsung foldables.
When the phone does see the light of day, we think it will use an inward-folding design (with an inside and outside screen), and could well feature three separate batteries and be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
If you’re interested in making this device your next smartphone upgrade, it’s bound to cost you – leaks have pointed to a starting price of around $3,000 (around £2,235 / AU$4,640), which is really to be expected from this type of device.
