The Liv Golf star, Phil Mickelson, hit the city of San Francisco in a publication on social networks on Tuesday.

Mickelson reacted to a report that classified San Francisco as the worst city of the US. The study was conducted by Wallethub and measured the “effectiveness of local leadership” by “determining the operational efficiency of a city.” The city occupied 148 of 148 cities studied.

“This is really sad and disappointing,” Mickelson wrote in X. “It is such a beautiful place to be ruined by poor leadership.”

The study used six key metrics to provide evidence of its classifications, including financial stability, education, health, security, economy and infrastructure and pollution. San Francisco held the 57th position in the quality of the city services, but 148 in the total budget for capital.

The classification occurred months after voters made a key change in their leadership with the choice of Daniel Lurie, who beat London’s Democratic race in more than 10 points. The last choice indicated a pivot far from soft crime policies and lax policies on drug use and the lack of housing that were rampant in the city.

San Francisco has been constantly ridiculed by its increase in homeless population and videos of the use of outdoor drugs in the streets of the city.

The legend of Basketball Charles Barkley has been one of the strongest criticisms of the past. He said in February that he hoped that Lurie could “do something about the homeless population.”
