Sarah Ferguson has reportedly been plotting to redeem herself as the mother of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie suffers financial problems and reportedly has no place of her own to stay.
The former Duchess of York was ousted from the royal fold in the wake of the Epstein scandal and had been in exile ever since, essentially disappearing from public view.
In an unexpected turn of events, Fergie has a stunning offer on her hands, which could possibly help her recover her financial and reputational damage, according to New York crisis PR strategist Mitchell Jackson.
The crisis manager said the sun that Fergie, who will appear as a villain in the show Traitors, could save her career.
“With public relations you work backwards from the goal,” he explained. “What she needs now is a lifeline, financial and reputational, and the only lifeline I see is The traitors. That is the only salvation.”
The American reality show is hosted by Alan Cumming and sees contestants as ‘Faithful’ and ‘Traitors’ as they compete to complete secret in-game missions.
“The move now is not to restore his reputation, the move is to play the villain,” Mitchell explained. “Public relations is poker and she’s been dealt the villain card. She can’t play anyone else. She should do it for free. It’s her only option.”
He continued: “The problem for her now is that this is actually an American scandal, because it’s an American scandal, she can’t just get on a plane and fly here like she normally does.”
Fergie has been removed from all of her charities, all of her businesses have closed and she has been firmly pushed out of the royal fold, even with her two daughters keeping their distance.
There has been talk that he could be writing a tell-all book exposing the royal family, but that has not been officially confirmed. Although, if Fergie appears on the show, she could achieve her goal much faster than writing a book.
