Ariana Grande shares her honest thoughts on fame.
The singer and actress was shocked in the last episode of the program. shut up evan podcast when the host revealed that he had organized a special message from his idol, Sarah Jessica Parker.
Host Evan Ross Katz began, “I know you’re a big fan of Sarah Jessica Parker. I was getting ready for today and I wanted to get some people to call and ask some questions. So I want to bring icon Sarah Jessica Parker into the conversation.”
Then he played a voice message from Hocus Pocus actress: “Greetings Ariana. I’m Sarah Jessica and I have a question… She is extraordinarily talented and at this moment and for quite some time she has achieved an authority and a kind of control of her career.
Parker continued, “My question A. is when I was little… What did you imagine it would be like when you said to a parent, a sibling, a coworker, or even at a young age, ‘I want to be an actor’?
In response, Grande showed her shocking expression and said before crying, “I love her so much. What a thoughtful, gentle, caring question… I’m sorry, that completely surprised me. I can’t believe she knows who I am.”
He then took a moment to answer Parker’s question and confessed that fame is “quirky” and “difficult to navigate.”
“I don’t think I was prepared for that role,” she said, but added that she is “proud” of the work she has done to separate herself from fame.
