Sargodha: A brave woman from Sargodha, Abida Nazir, has dedicated her life to serving orphans, homeless individuals and disadvantaged women. Promoted by a passion for humanitarian service, it has been actively working to support patients with talasmia and at the same time empower women with vocational skills.
Nazir, 35, regularly donates blood to children who suffer from talaasemia and volunteers to help disadvantaged people in various abilities. She remains actively involved in providing financial and emotional support to those in need.
“Abida Nazir is always there to support women who face difficulties,” said one of her friends, highlighting her unwavering commitment to women’s empowerment.
Dr. Tanveer Salaharia, in charge of the Center for Talasiamia, also praised the dedication of Nazir.
“She is an exceptionally active woman who organizes blood donation fields for patients with talasmia and even cooks meals for themselves,” he said.
Beyond their humanitarian work, Nazir has also taken initiatives to empower women by providing vocational training. She offers tailoring courses, embroidery and beauty skills, which allows women to be financially independent.
Nazir’s dedication comes from a personal tragedy.
“My younger brother, a ninth grade student, was injured in a traffic accident and could not receive a transfusion of timely blood. That incident changed my life,” he shared.
Determined to make a difference, it continues to equip women with skills that help them make a living from home. “I organize small -scale training courses so that women can generate income while staying at home,” he added.
The selfless service and the determination of Nazir Abida make it a model to follow for society, which shows that the dedication of an individual can bring a significant change to many lives.
