Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced on Sunday that Saudi citizens can now enter Pakistan without restrictions, as part of the measures aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries.

The announcement followed a meeting between Mohsin Naqvi and the Saudi ambassador Nawaf Bin Saeed Ahmad al-Malkiy in the diplomatic enclave in Islamabad. The two officials made detailed discussions that cover diplomatic relations, travel policies and cooperation of the application of the law.

Mohsin Naqvi expressed his appreciation for the constant support of Saudi Arabia to the Pakistan, particularly recognizing the participation of the kingdom in the recent anti-marrow conference organized by Pakistan and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

During the meeting, NAQVI shared updates on recent reforms related to passport issuance and national documentation standards. He said that the new protocols aim to improve the security of the document and avoid misuse.

The Interior Minister also informed the ambassador about government efforts to address crime at street level, including an offensive against professional begging networks throughout the country.

Naqvi praised the Saudi authorities for their cooperation to ensure the release of five Pakistani citizens who had been imprisoned in a case of drug smuggling later that is false. He described the launch as a result of strong bilateral coordination and support.

Ambassador Al-Malkiy reiterated Saudi Arabia’s commitment to improve Pakistan cooperation in multiple sectors. He emphasized the nature of a long time of Saudi-Pakistani relations and the intention of the kingdom to further deepen strategic and economic ties.

The meeting concluded with both parties promising a continuous collaboration and efforts to strengthen mutual interests.
