Saudi commander praises Pakistan Army’s role in regional peace during meeting with Field Marshal Munir


Defense Forces Chief Expresses Satisfaction at “Solid Defense Collaboration” and Underlines Need for Cooperation

Royal Saudi Land Forces Commander Lieutenant General Fahad bin Saud Al-Johani praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Army and appreciated the “positive role played by Pakistan in regional peace and stability” during a meeting with Defense Forces Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir at the General Headquarters, the army’s media wing said in a statement on Wednesday.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), both sides discussed issues of mutual interest, regional security and prospects for expanding bilateral defense cooperation. The two officials reiterated their commitment to strengthening what ISPR described as “longstanding and fraternal relations” between the armed forces of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Field Marshal Munir expressed satisfaction over the “solid defense collaboration” between the two armies and underlined the need for continued cooperation in training, capacity building and intelligence sharing, the statement added.

Meanwhile, Bahrain National Guard Commander General Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa also met Field Marshal Munir during a visit to the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.

According to the ISPR, the two leaders held detailed discussions on issues of mutual interest, regional security and opportunities to enhance bilateral defense cooperation. Both sides reiterated their commitment to expand the ongoing military collaboration between the armed forces of Pakistan and Bahrain.

During the meeting, the Bahraini commander praised the professional capabilities of the Pakistan Army and acknowledged Pakistan’s role in regional peace and stability, the ISPR said. Highlighting the long-standing ties of brotherhood between Pakistan and Bahrain, Field Marshal Munir said Pakistan “will continue to cooperate with Bahrain in all spheres”.
