Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman on Wednesday expressed deep appreciation for Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts by advocating de-escalation and resolution through peaceful dialogue during a phone call with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
I spoke with my dear brother, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, to convey warm Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to the Royal Family and to the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office statement, during the call, the Prime Minister (PM) reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong condemnation of the recent attacks on Saudi Arabia, expressing unwavering solidarity and support for the Kingdom and its people during these difficult times. He also praised Saudi Arabia’s leadership for showing remarkable restraint amid the current crisis.

Prime Minister Shehbaz also extended his Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to Prince Salman and the people of Saudi Arabia. The Crown Prince reciprocated the sentiments.
To reassure Prince Salman, the Prime Minister stated that Pakistan would continue to support Saudi Arabia, just as the Kingdom had supported Pakistan in times of need.
The Prime Minister called for an immediate cessation of hostilities and restoration of normality, stressing that peace and stability in the region could only be achieved through dialogue. He further urged unity within the Ummah, highlighting its importance in these difficult times.
Both leaders agreed to maintain close coordination at all levels between their countries.
