SC decided more than 8K cases in the last 100 days

The Pakistan Supreme Court has decided 8,174 cases and received 4,963 new cases in the last 100 days. In addition, the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) has eliminated 40 complaints against the superior judiciary at its two meetings.

According to a press release issued by the Supreme Court of Pakistan that described the 100 -day judicial performance under the leadership of the President of the Supreme Court Yahya Afridi, the SJC had examined 46 complaints under article 209 of the Constitution received against constitutional offices. Of these, 40 had been eliminated while comments had been searched for five complaints and one sent to obtain information.

In the last 100 days, the Supreme Court has demonstrated a greater resolution by deciding 8,174 cases while receiving 4,963 new cases. This reflects a positive change in the judicial workflow in that case, the resolutions have exceeded the new presentations, thus reducing the arrears and guaranteeing timely justice, said the release of SC.
