The Supreme Court of the Constitutional Bank of Pakistan, led by Judge Aminuddin Khan, has terminated the sanction imposed on the former president of the Supreme Court Jawad S. Khawaja.

The fine, which is equivalent to RS 20,000, was previously imposed after Khawaja’s request with respect to the case of military courts was considered a delayed tactic, said Express News.

During the hearing of the Military Courts, the Constitutional Bank of Seven Members, led by Judge Aminuddin Khan, rescinded the order, while Justice’s lawyer (R) Jawad S. Khawaja, Khawaja Ahmed Hussain, presented his arguments.

Khawaja Ahmed Hussain declared that the country was built through the efforts of great lawyers such as Muhammad Ali Jinnaah, and this constitutional bank is sitting under a photo of Jinnah.

He expressed concern that the Judiciary had previously made decisions that damaged the Nation, and begged that the appeals were rejected while maintaining the central decision. He mentioned that his client had been fined with RS 20,000, and had submitted a review against the order.

Khawaja Ahmed Hussain also asked the court to withdraw the order that imposed the fine, which was commented on Judge Muhammad Ali Mazhar, which suggests that they could double the fine. However, he clarified that he said with humor.

Khawaja Ahmed Hussain explained that the petition had become largely ineffective since the Constitutional Bank had already heard most of the case.

After consulting with other judges, Judge Aminuddin Khan informed Khawaja Ahmed Hussain that the court had decided to get rid of the matter based on the withdrawal of the review.

The Constitutional Bank has now reversed the order that imposed the fine to the former president of Justice Jawad S. Khawaja. Khawaja had presented a separate request that sought a suspension in military judicial procedures until a decision was made at the 26th constitutional amendment.
