Sean “Diddy” Comits returned to the Federal Court in Manhattan this week to challenge his conviction for prostitution charges.
In the Court before Judge Arun Subramanian, the Peines appeared in a good mood, in the operation, greeting their lawyers and greeting the family at the hearing.
Then, each side had 20 minutes to present its case on whether the conviction of July 2 should stand up.
His lawyers argued that the prostitution law only applies to the pimps, not to the clients, and asked the judge to throw the verdict. The prosecutors did not agree, saying that combs’ actions were violent even as a spectator.
If the sentence is confirmed, the Hip-Hop tycoon could face up to 20 years in prison in its October 3 ruling. However, his team is pressing for only 14 months, which could see him released soon with the time that is already served in the trial.
Judge Subramanian did not issue an immediate ruling, but said that there would be a decision soon.
