- Base Season 3 has just presented a character that can be fundamental for its greater plot turn
- The individual in question appears in a luxurious party that is launched on Kalgan
- The homonym fans of the Isaac Asimov book series will know where the story goes from here
Base Episode 3 of season 3 has landed on Apple TV+, and presents a character that seems to play an important role in the turn of the greatest history of this season.
The last post of this season, entitled ‘When a Book Findss You’, sees Han Pritcher (Brandon P Bell), along with Toran and Bayta Mallow (Cody Fern and Synnøve Karlsen), attend a luxurious party that is being thrown by the mule in Kalgan. Remember: Pritcher asked the newly married wicked to accompany him while he goes undercover to try to learn more about Base The main villain of season 3, and it is during this evening that we finally know the individual he refers.
Complete spoilers follow immediately to Base The newest episode of Season 3 and Isaac Asimov’s book serieson which Apple TV original is based. Return now if you haven’t transmitted it yet.
Magnificent Giganitcus, a musician who works for the mule (Pilou Asbaek), apparently against his will, given the way in which the mule treats it, and who is portrayed by lemarquis tós, is the character we introduce ourselves. Spectators can recognize Caliban lemarquises in X-Men: RevelationThe third entry in the now missing franchise of X-Men Restart films of 20th Century Fox.
Despite the fact that they are treated unfairly (read: physically abused) by the mule in BaseMagnificent is a key part of the internal circle of the first. In fact, magnificent music not only keeps the quiet mule, but also has an emotionally intoxicating effect on people who are not accustomed to listening to it. We see both in the third episode this season, with numerous people hypnotized by their electronic rhythms on the dance floor.
Anyway, in summary: Magnifico flees from Kalgan with Toran and Bayta after the latter convinces him to leave with them. The couple thinks that they can learn more information about the magnificent mule, which could help the base in their attempts to prevent the mule from becoming the new tyrant of the galaxy.
But not everything is what it seems, because magnificent is not a real person, nor is it someone who actively wants to help the Foundation.
In ‘Foundation and Empire’, the second novel in the trilogy of the original ‘Foundation’ book of Asimov, it is finally revealed that magnificent is the disguised mule. In fact, everything is a facade for the mule to learn the location of the second foundation, also known as The Secret Collective of Mentalics, essentially, people with psychic skills such as the mule, that is led (in one of the best Apple TV+programs, anyway) by Gaal Dornick.
BaseIt seems that TV television adaptation has slightly modified this story, with magnificent probably being a kind of holographic projection created by the mule. In that way, the Lord of the Psionic War can be in two places at the same time, with Asbaek playing the mule and the lemarquis to address the role of magnificent.
If Apple’s live action reinvention follows the rest of this story as described in Asimov’s literary works, the revelation that magnificent is actually the mule will be a greatly shocking moment for anyone who is seeing the program but who has not read the books. Well, it would be if I had not spoiled it, but hey, it is your fault for reading an article that warned you that there were large spoilers ahead!
We will see if the mule and the magnificent are the same as the spatial opera of the technological giant progresses. Meanwhile, read a more exclusive coverage of season 3 below.
