Security forces eliminate 158 terrorists in KP in a month

Security forces killed 158 terrorists in 73 intelligence-based operations (IBO) in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) during the month

March, according to a report published by the Security Forces.

The report revealed that several victims were inflicted in several districts.

At least 40 outlaws were killed in Waziristán del Norte, 25 in Dera Ismael Khan, 20 in Mohmand, 18 each in Mardan and Bannu, 12 in South Waziristan, 6 in Bajour, 7 in Lukki Marwat, 4 in Khyber, two each in Karak and Tank and one in Peshawar, Hagu, Swat and Charsada.

During the 73 Ibo in 15 KP districts, security forces recovered a large cache and explosive material, including 123 SMGS, 53 guns, 34 weapons, 29 rocket launchers, 9 machine guns and 186 manual grenades.

Meanwhile, up to 152 security personnel and citizens were martyred, while 302 were injured in KP during the first three months of the current year.

According to a quarterly report published by the KP Police, among the martyrs were 45 common citizens, 37 police and 34 members of the FC staff.

The greatest number of victims – 124 – took place in Bannu, followed by 42 in Khyber and 41 in North Wazirist.
