A security guard was killed in an incident of motorcyclists’ shot in the Karachi Pechs Society area. According to a statement by the Karachi police spokesman, the incident occurred in Block 2 of Pechs, on 4th Street, where armed motorcyclists opened fire, which resulted in the death of Mirza Sajid Baig, 38.

His body was transported to the Jinnah hospital for a post mortem exam.

The victim, resident of the line area, worked as a private security guard for a security company. On the night of the incident, he was doing their duties in the area when the assailants opened fire and fled from the scene.

Local residents reported that the shooting occurred in Sehri’s time when the community was busy preparing for Sehri. They discovered Saxid’s body covered with blood shortly after hearing the shots.

Residents also mentioned that the area had seen an increase in street crimes and vehicle battery robberies in recent months.

Despite several requests to the Ferozabad Police to increase police patrols in the area, no measures were taken.

However, they noticed that after Sajid began working as a security guard, crimes in the area had decreased.

Police recovered three mastered frames from a .30 gun from the crime scene. The unit of the crime scene came to the place to gather evidence, and the victim’s family has been notified.

In another incident, a person was injured in a shooting in the overall near DHA 9, Gadap City. According to the police, Zahid Hussain, 69, was injured during an attempted robbery.

The victim was taken to the Fatima Bai hospital through an Edhi ambulance. Police are investigating the case.
