It warns that such unjustified aggression could undermine ongoing peaceful efforts and create an environment conducive to dialogue.
Military leaders on Tuesday strongly condemned recent Iranian attacks on Saudi Arabia’s petrochemical and industrial complexes, calling them an “unnecessary escalation” that threatened to derail mediation efforts to end the Middle East crisis.
Iran previously attacked a petrochemical complex in Saudi Arabia’s Jubail industrial city, located in the Eastern province. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed “its deep concern and unequivocal condemnation” of the missile and drone attacks.
In a statement issued today, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the army top brass also condemned the attacks at the 274th Corps Commanders’ Conference at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
“The forum noted with concern and vehemently condemned the latest attacks on Saudi Arabia’s petrochemical and industrial complex as an unnecessary escalation that ruins sincere efforts to resolve the conflict through peaceful means. The forum noted that the restraint and calibration shown so far by Saudi Arabia, despite serious provocations, enabled mediation and diplomatic resolution; however, such unjustified aggressions have serious repercussions, to ruin the ongoing peaceful options and enabling environment,” it said. the ISPR.
