Senior lawyers have challenged the leadership of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA), accusing it of issuing a misleading press release on proposed amendments to the bar association’s rules and announcing protests if elections are held through a biometric system.
At a press conference, the lawyers said that a general house meeting was held at the high bar court on January 22, during which a resolution seeking amendments to the bar rules was tabled, but it was rejected by the majority of members.
