Senior TTP commander killed in Bajaur IBO


A senior leader of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and self-proclaimed Defense Minister, Qari Amjad alias Mufti Muzahim, has been killed in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Bajaur district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, sources confirmed on Thursday.

Khorasan’s diary wrote in X that Amjad, a key figure within the terrorist group, was killed early in the morning during the security operation.

On the night of October 29-30, security forces detected and foiled an infiltration attempt by a group of Khwarij in the Bajaur district. Four militants were killed in IBO, including the TTP leader.

Amjad, deputy of Khwarij leader Noor Wali and head of the India-linked Rehbari Shura of Fitna al Khwarij, was a high-value target with a reward of Rs 5 million and was highly sought after by authorities and the government. He was actively involved in terrorist activities inside Pakistan while in Afghanistan.

Fitna al Khwarij leaders continue to use Afghan soil to orchestrate attacks and boost the morale of militants in Bajaur and Mohmand. Pakistan reiterates that the Afghan Interim Government must prevent its territory from being used for terrorist purposes.

Security forces remain committed to defending the nation’s borders. A disinfection operation is underway to eliminate remaining militants, as part of the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign. Azm-e-Istehkamapproved within the framework of the National Action Plan.
