Seth Meyers is known for his sharp jabs, so when the US president criticized him for previously joking about his idea of installing steam-powered catapults on US aircraft carriers, he fired back.
“Look, in general, I try to live by the New Yorker’s creed. When someone is ranting at you, ignore them. Chances are they’ll just move on and rant about something else,” the host says on his recent late-night show.
He continues, “But there’s one thing I just have to address: You can say I’m untalented, you can say I’m deranged, but I’m not the one talking endlessly about catapults on aircraft carriers. You’re the one talking endlessly about catapults on aircraft carriers!”
Previously, Donald Trump, in a post on Truth Social, raged that Seth is “the least talented live ‘acting’ person in the history of television,” and described him as “a truly deranged lunatic.”
It’s worth noting that since the start of his second presidency, the US president has clashed with several late-night talk show hosts, who have a history of criticizing him, including Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon.
