“All government entities are aimed at starting the previous practice immediately,” said the notification, underlining a concerted effort to rethink the narrative around insurgent violence in the province.

The announcement occurred when Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif accused India of growing indirect aggression after what he described as his defeat in a recent security operation called “Marka-e-Haq”.
