Sha’Carri Richardson’s boyfriend defends her for alleged assault against him

Olympic gold medalist Sha’Carri Richardson was arrested last weekend for allegedly assaulting her boyfriend, the acceleration partner Christian Coleman.

The couple was in the Seattle Tacoma Airport On Sunday, when an officer at the airport was notified by a supervisor of the Transportation Security Administration of a disturbance between Richardson and Coleman, according to the police report, through Associated Press.

It alleges that Richardson grabbed Coleman’s backpack, threw it, put Coleman on a wall and threw headphones. The incident occurred days before the United States Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon.

Coleman refused to be a victim in the case, according to a police report, and made it very clear that he wants to move from the “dirty situation.”

In fact, Coleman believed that the arrest was too far.

“I don’t feel that I should have been arrested. I mean that people have discussions and emotions and things like that. He has things he needs to work for herself, of course.

“I look situations like this, I take a step back, I analyze it to yourself, and then I try to see what you can do to be your best I … She is a human being and a great person. We have been good teammates all year … she has many things that happen, many emotions and strength that are inside her that not only can I not understand, but no one can.

Richardson won 100 in the 2023 World Championship in Budapest, Hungary, and ended with the silver medal at the event at the Paris Games last summer. He also helped take 4×100 relief to an Olympic gold.

The 25 -year -old was going to compete in Tokyo four years ago, but gave positive for cannabis. She accepted a month suspension of the United States anti -doping agency, making it not eligible for 100 meters. Nor was it selected for the 4×100 relay team, delaying its Olympic debut to Paris.

Both Coleman and Richardson won gold in the World Championship in 2023 for 4×100 meters. Coleman also won the event in 2019, as well as 100 meters.
