Karachi:
A police officer named Taqdeer Azam Afridi, who has been nominated in the case of murder of the outstanding lawyer Khawaja Shamsul Islam Advocate, issued a video statement alleging his innocence and calling the case without foundation and the result of personal enmity.
Aphridi alleges that CCTV images show another individual shooting the shots, who identifies as the real culprit. He affirms that the FIR name seven members of his family, all of whom insists are innocent.
In his statement, he also revealed that the well -known Cricket Shahid Afridi player had tried to mediate between Islam and Imran Afridi, which resulted in an agreement on March 20, 2025. According to this agreement, Islam agreed to accept blood money (Diyat) and withdraw a case presented by Imran Afridi’s father. In spite of this, Aphridi alleges that Islam continued to follow legal actions against his family.
