The former Bangladesh captain, Shakib Al Hasan, expressed his frustration due to the lack of communication of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) with respect to his omission of the champions trophy squadron of the Cricket International Council (ICC).

Shakib, who has an impressive history with 71, 247 international one -day (ODI), and 129 international Twenty20 (T20I) tests, stayed after being suspended by a suspicious action of bowling by the Cricket Board (ECB) of England and Wales during a County Championship match between Surrey and Somerset in September 2024.

The selectors did not consider it for the selection purely as a batter, despite their extensive experience.

Later, the 37 -year -old man was authorized to play in the County Championship and one hundred after undergoing a third evaluation test, two made in England and one in India.

Before appearing for the test, he trained for a week with his childhood mentor, Mohammad Salahuddin, and worked extensively with the chief coach of Surrey and the former Cricket player of England Gareth Batty for two weeks.

“Look, I have no complaint, but if the communication had been better, it would have been happier,” said Shakib.

He also worked closely with Sirajullah Khadem, a former Bangladesh sub-19 player, who shed light on the situation.

“I think it was reported because it launched a lot in that game. When you strive too much, especially when minor changes in your action can occur, which caused problems,” Khadem explained.

“It looks good now and seems to have recovered all its tricks,” he added.
