The comedian Shane Gillis took the stage at the Espy awards on Wednesday night and was shooting virtually anyone in the world of sport with a monologue suitable for a roasted event.

It is not uncommon to see that the host begins to illuminate the crowd with some playful blows here and there in the awards, but Gillis’s scathing humor attracted some teasing along with cheers inside the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

One of his most discussed jokes revolved around the new Tar Heels football coach of North Carolina, Bill Belichick, when Gillis commented on his 24 -year -old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson.

“A betting corridor is what Bill Belichick reads his girlfriend before bedtime,” Gillis preceded his joke. “Read, ‘Caterpillar very horny’ ‘, the small engine I could but first needed a pill’, and, of course, the classic, ‘good night.”

The division in the crowd began to arrive when Gillis mentioned Joe Rogan with a joke about the NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, but quickly became something addressed to President Donald Trump.

“Joe Rogan really wanted him to be here to organize this awards program to capture Adam Silver because Joe believes he is an alien,” Gillis said. “And Donald Trump wanted him to be here to capture Juan Soto for the same reason.”

Gillis did not stop there with Trump’s mentions, since he made fun of the 47th President to say that he wants to organize an UFC fight in the White House.

Then, he got into the current political argument around the alleged list of customers of Jeffrey Epstein.

“Donald Trump wants to organize an UFC fight on the White House grass. The last time he organized a fight in DC, Mike Pence almost dies,” Gillis said. “… Actually, there would be an Epstein joke here, but I suppose it was eliminated. It was probably eliminated, right? It probably never existed. Let’s segue like a country and ignore that.”

Gillis also mentioned the Superstar of the WNBA Caitlin Clark, who did not get the best of the reactions after what he “predicted” when she retired.

“She is going to work in a Gofres house so she can continue doing what she loves most, the black women fighting the fist,” Gillis told a mixed reaction.

Finally, another interesting joke choice was to shoot the deceased OJ Simpson, which was an ode to the late norm Macdonald, the host of the show in 1998.

“Travis Hunter won the Heisman trophy this year,” Gillis said. “He is the first defensive player from Charles Woodson to win the Heisman. Congratulations, Travis Hunter, winning the Heisman, that is something they can never take away. Unless you kill your wife and a waiter, in which case, they can take away that.”

Gillis, who stars in the “Tires” series of Netflix, also pointed to Aaron Rodgers, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and more in what some consider out of color, while others thought it was just to laugh.
