Karachi:
The senior minister of Sindh, Sharjeel Inam Memon, has said that the alliance between the Muttahida Qaumi-Pakistan movement (MQM-P) and Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) has become evident, since both parties that once contained the elections each other now join in the floor of the assembly.
In statements to the media at the corner of the media of the Sindh Assembly, Memon commented that this alliance could send a new political message, but has no consequence for the Popular Party (PPP) of Pakistan. “MQM’s policy is well known: it has constantly avoided local government elections due to its lack of public support,” he said.
Memon said that the people of Sindh have always given their mandate to the PPP. He affirmed that the PPP had eradicated the policy of violence, body bags, extortion and forced collections of karachi animals. When commenting on MQM’s recent conduct in the Provincial Assembly, he said he arose from a sense of political irrelevance.
Referring to the opposition strike, Memon declared: “The organized drama under the pretext of condemning the attack against Iran has been exposed. The prime minister began his speech by strongly condemning the cowardly attack against Iran, but the opposition still decided to play policies.”
