The Sindh Superior Court has ordered that the bail supplication of Sahir Hassan, the son of the renowned actor Sajid Hassan, be sent to a regular bank for more procedures.
According to the reports, the Constitutional Bank of the Superior Court of Sindh listened to the request for bail of the accused, which is currently in custody in a case of drug possession.
The court observed that the matter falls under the jurisdiction of the regular court and, therefore, must be presented before a regular bank.
The Court postponed the hearing and instructed the relevant bank to resolve the matter within 14 days. The petitioner’s lawyer argued that the defendant is in the jail under judicial prison and has been accused of possession of narcotics.
Police states that Sahir Hassan was arrested on February 22, phase 6 of the Defense Housing Authority (DHA), Karachi, and that five cannabis packages of his possession were recovered.
The Court also ordered that all the necessary measures be taken to guarantee rapid procedures in the case. The final decision on the bail application will be taken by the regular bank.
Previously, Sahir Hassan told researchers that his acquaintance, Armaghan, had accumulated significant wealth through fraudulent activities.
He claimed that Armaghan participated in Centro de Calls scams aimed at pension funds from the elderly abroad, diverting large sums of money under the appearance of commercial companies.
Hassan also revealed that Armaghan had used these illicit funds to buy luxury cars, properties, weapons and even exotic animals.
Previously, Pakistani television presenter Nadia Khan strongly criticized Sahir Hassan, son of veteran actor Sajid Hassan, after her confession of participation in drug trafficking.
Speaking in his interview program, Nadia Khan condemned her actions and described her statement as “hypocritical.” “He says he doesn’t want his own children to use drugs, but he is not ashamed to sell to the children of others? That is a double pure stand,” he said.
Nadia Khan added that the case had shaken the nation. “Parents and children throughout Pakistan are disturbed. This is not just an incident, this is part of a deeply disturbing pattern, and Sajid Hassan’s son is now part of him.”
