One of the greatest NFL stories this preseason will be in Berea, Ohio, since the Cleveland Browns will have an intriguing competence of Mariscal de Campo with their fifth round selection, Shedeur Sanders.
Sanders, Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and the Third Round Selection Dillon Gabriel will be competing for the same work, but the attention center will be brilliant in the person who called the Colorado signal after his fall of the NFL draft to the fifth round assumed the national headlines.
Sanders went from being a first round block to a fifth round selection that had many scratching his head, discussing his adjustment in Cleveland after they just selected Gabriel to turn it into the third quarterback in the depth table, next to Flacco and Pickett.

While Flacco is expected to get the first crack to win the job, Sanders will have the opportunity to compete with his new teammates to get the initial role.
A Quarterback competition is something that Sam Darnold, the new Seattle Seahawks field marshal, has passed in his career. He had some tips for young Sanders, who is trying for the first time a training camp battle.
“I think the most important thing is to have respect,” Darnold told Pak Gazette Digital, while arguing his time with the Lowe’s Foundation in Skillsusa National Firming Day in Seattle. “Have respect for the teammates with whom you are competing.”

While it is a competition, it is important to remember that these are also teammates who pursue the same goal: to win a Super Bowl.
After his failed period with the New York Jets, who took him third in general in the 2018 NFL Draft, Darnold bounced in multiple teams and had to open his way to the position he was with the Minnesota Vikings last season. Even there, Darnold struggled to win the role of Marshal Campo, and won his place to choose his next team at free agency this season.
Darnold specifically looked at his time with the Carolina Panthers, where the player who was two selections before him in that 2018 Draft, Baker Mayfield, was his main competition in 2022.

“I was in a field Mariscal competition in my second year in Carolina with Baker. Baker and I are still very close to today, and we both had such genuine respect for each other,” Darnold explained. “Sometimes, it was not exactly clear who was obtaining the representatives of the 1 or the repetitions of 2 that day. But when it was called our number, either me or the oven dating the 1, it was like, ‘that’s fine, salt’.
“Then, in the individual exercises that day, if I was getting the repetitions of 1, Bake would let me take as Christian [McCaffrey] on a route or dj Moore on a route. It was always that respect. Then, if he turned, if Bake was taking the repetitions of 1, he would let him take all the types he was going to run that day.
“I think either Shedeur or any other person, I think only respect those guys in the quarterback room and help everyone improve. That is the most important thing at this time of the season, helping everyone to improve. When you do that, you improve yourself, more than you know.”
From now on, there is a good possibility that Sanders is not the one under the center in week 1 to start the 2025 Browns campaign. The way he handles the wait on the wings to shine his time will also be at the National Care Center.

If that moment comes, Darnold wants Sanders to think about the team first.
“When Bake received the assent from week 1, I thought: ‘I am here for you. Anything you need, if you want me to see the tape of certain third chance looks or any bombing pack that the defense can have, I am here for you’,” said Darnold. “It is that form in the field marshal room, and there is nothing to simulate that in the real world.”
Celebrating the next generation of commercial workers
While Darnold approaches his new city, he made sure to go through the Lowe Seattle store ceremony for the day of the National Skill Skills firm, which is a celebration that reflects the emotion of sports firms, but for future electricians, plumbers, technicians and builders of HVAC.
Lowe’s launched the blue carpet and everything for the students, who were surprised by the new Seattle football star, and this initiative is one that hits nearby home for Darnold. His father, Mike, has been a plumber for more than 30 years.

“It was amazing,” Darnold said about the experience. “I have seen the hard work that put him in his whole life. So, just be able to see these children and see the hard work they have already put, know them and talk to them about the path they are directed, and how passionate they are for that.
“I think there are many more opportunities in the world of skill trades, and my dad and I have talked about that, how there are no longer many children doing that. It is a special opportunity for children to affect their communities in a way that they probably don’t even know what they are going.”
The new ADP data show that almost one in five workers aged 20 to 24 had blue neck work as of May 2023. Although that was a 2% increase since 2019, the United States faces a shortage of 439,000 construction workers.
