“The suspects were wearing masks and gloves and can be seen leaving the residence at approximately 6:58 pm with several properties belonging to Mr. Sanders. It is estimated that approximately $200,000 in property was stolen,” the statement said.

Pak Gazette Digital obtained a probation report from Officer Charles Johnson that said the three suspects ransacked a bedroom, searched nightstands and closets and used their cellphone flashlights to navigate the house. The suspects had several bags with them when they left the house and ended up disappearing into the woods.

At the time, Sanders was making his NFL regular season debut against the Baltimore Ravens.

Sanders, however, found a silver lining in the theft while addressing the media.

“I’m in a headspace now where there’s not too many things that can faze me, honestly. And anyway, they didn’t take any of my jewelry,” Sanders said at the time. “So, you know, it just slips. You know, it happens.”

Sanders was among the latest NFL stars to be robbed while playing a game. Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow had jewelry and other property stolen from his home.

Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were stolen on the same day last season. Four Chilean citizens were arrested in that robbery and authorities released a photo of them posing with the stolen items.
