Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the districts affected by Swat, Buner, Shangla and Swabi on Wednesday, where he emphasized that each available national resource will be mobilized to accelerate recovery efforts and restore normality in the affected areas.

The Prime Minister and the COAS received comprehensive information on rescue and relief operations in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
During his interaction with the victims of the flood, the prime minister assured them the unwavering commitment of the Federal Government and the Pakistan’s army to extend the maximum support in this critical hour.
The Prime Minister, although he appreciated the tireless dedication of the Armed Forces and the Civil Administration, reaffirmed solidarity with the population affected by floods and assured them all possible assistance.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also caught attention to illegal invasions, wood mafia and mining / overwhelming activities, especially in river paths that greatly contribute to the loss of lives and damage. He directed that Pakistan should act as a hard state in which no one is above the law and that necessary measures are taken against the delinquent without distinction.
The COA also interacted with the troops, police and civil administration staff involved in rescue efforts, praising their selfless commitment to help victims of flooding and torrential rains. He stressed that the security and relief of fellow citizens remain the main priority, praising the forces and civil administration for their tireless service.

When addressing the participants, the prime minister expressed a deep sadness for the destruction caused by the recent clouds of clouds and heavy rains in various parts of the country, and said that these natural calamities had resulted in the loss of many lives and properties.

Remembering the floods of 2022, he said that hundreds of thousands of acres of crops were destroyed and innumerable houses were dragged into Sindh. At that time, the Federal Government announced RS 100 billion in help to support victims and rebuild the affected areas.
He stressed that today, with the support of all interested parties, the government was completely committed to face this new challenge. He said he had issued clear instructions that roads and infrastructure must be repaired regardless of whether they fall under the provincial or federal jurisdiction.
The prime minister said that federal ministers were currently dedicated to Aid activities in KP. In addition, the prime minister announced seven days of free electricity for those affected and directed immediate repairs of damaged road infrastructure.
When highlighting the root causes of such destruction, the prime minister said that hotels and houses were often built on natural river paths, which worsened the impact of floods.
He emphasized the urgent need to discourage this construction and requested the development of policies and laws to avoid the construction of illegal lands, especially along water channels, to avoid future disasters.
He said that while the government was already involved in the fight against terrorists and Khawarij in KP, this natural disaster had added another layer of challenge. However, he emphasized that all interested parties, including the government, the armed forces and civil society, were working together to help in the efforts of relief and recovery.
He reiterated that Pakistan is a home with four units and there should be no policy in times of such national crisis.
He appreciated the efforts of Prime Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin, and the Armed Forces that worked diligently to help in help operations. He also recognized the support of the Munir Marshal, under whose cooperation the government struggled to stabilize the country’s economy.
The prime minister said that Pakistan was among the 10 countries most affected by the impacts of climate change.
