The leader of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) and a member of the National Assembly (MNA) Shehryar Afridi has denied the reports that the founder of PTI had decided to eliminate the leader of the senior party Sher Afzal Marwat. He added: “It has served the party well, and we will talk to the founder of PTI with respect to him.”
In statements to the media outside the Superior Court of Peshawar on Thursday, Afridi said: “The founder of PTI did not discuss the elimination of Sher Afzal Marwat in my presence. He has made significant contributions to the party and has always responded when asked. ”
Referring to the events of November 26, he declared that the entire nation witnessed what happened and that PTI’s leadership has always advocated the rule of law.
“The supremacy of the law ensures the longevity of a nation. We will continue to defend the Constitution and the Law, ”he added, criticizing the interested parties for abandoning the promises made to tribal communities.
Aphridi also condemned what he called state oppression against PTI in Punjab, citing the imposition of section 144 throughout the province on February 8. Despite the restrictions, he said, the public voted for PTI and rejected other parts.
In addition, he claimed that PTI leaders and workers were undergoing unfair imprisonment and violence. “These actions are weakening Pakistan,” he warned.
The PTI leader also accused the federal government of retaining development funds for Kohat and requested the unit to maintain legal supremacy. “Why is a judicial commission not being formed? What is the obstacle? He questioned.
