The hired riddles of the Cincinnati Bengals continue.
The First Round National Team, Shemar Stewart, is not practicing in the mandatory mini -team of the team this week because it has not yet signed its rookie contract.
Cincinnati solved the situation of the Tee Higgins contract in this low season, but the Bengals are still dealing with the top runner on the Trey Hendrickson edge. Now, your first round selection is endured until you get a treatment you like.
Stewart, the Texas A&M product that was 17th in general in the NFL 2025 draft in April, has not yet practiced this summer, and the Bengals are testing something that any other team in the league has still done when canceling future guarantees for Stewart.

The unprecedented contract maneuver is not right with Stewart, and sounded from the main office on Tuesday while it was in the Bengals complex.
“I have 100% reason,” he said about his position on his rookie agreement, according to Si.com. “I am not asking for anything that they have not done before.
Stewart said “he can’t say” what he is asking for in his contract.

Meanwhile, he still attends meetings and does what he can outside the field to be ready for the season.
“I still study my play book. Going down the right notes, and then, every time I have some free time, I go out to train,” he said.
But Stewart wants to be in the field with his teammates. He says he has been preparing correctly in the low season for his first crack in the NFL.

“You have to make your body a bit prepared to play football, especially I are coming from the University. NFL is a physical game form, although I played in the SEC, which is very physical. Nothing compares with playing in the NFL. I thought I would be in the field now.”
Stewart was considered a raw perspective that came out of the Aggies program, someone who has a tremendous athletic capacity but needs to underpin the technical aspects of playing the external supporter.
He hopes to do that in the coming years in Cincinnati, and although the situation of the contract is less than ideal, he has no bad will for the franchise.
“I’m still new here. We still have a long future ahead,” he said.

However, Stewart is making it clear that he is not doing anything wrong with his contract negotiations.
The ball is on the Bengals court.
