The crack between the Cincinnati Bengals and the First Round Selection Shemar Stewart has reached a new level, since the Texas A&M product has left the last day of mandatory mini -family with its rookie contract is not yet signed.
Pro Football Talk reported that Stewart left by the mini -family was not because of the contract disagreement with the Bengals, but “did not want to be a distraction” for his teammates who participate.
Even so, Stewart’s contractual situation has baffled many in the world of football, and is the reason why he is not in the field with his teammates.

Stewart, the 17th General Selection in the NFL 2025 Draft in April, was publicly directed not to be in the field during the Bengals Mini -Page practices because it has not signed its rookie agreement.
“I have 100% reason,” journalists told Tuesday. “I am not asking for anything that they have not done before.
According to reports, the Bengals are trying to change the way in which their first -round rookie contracts are made, which would allow the team to cancel future guarantees. Stewart does not feel that his contract language must be different, with Pro Football Talk pointing to Amarius Mims, the team’s first round of the team last year, without having that language in his deal.

Stewart was also a higher choice than Mims.
The coach of the Bengals, Zac Taylor, said he had “good communication” with Stewart before leaving the camp.
Given the Bengals contract problems with other players, the star corridor Edge, Trey Hendrickson, has his own problem with his treatment in Cincinnati, Taylor gave his thoughts about Stewart’s situation.

“There is a first for everything,” he told reporters. “Every year, you learn something new in this position, and this is just one of those things that players have achieved very well. We keep the team in motion, and when it jumps to the field, that will be great for our team.”
Before leaving, Stewart attended team meetings and studied his new play book. But he knows how much he is in the field.
“You have to make your body a bit prepared to play football, especially me coming from the University. NFL is a physical game form, although I played in the SEC, which is very physical. Nothing compares to really playing in the NFL. I thought I would be in the field now,” he said.
Stewart was considered a raw perspective that came out of the Aggies program, someone who has a tremendous athletic capacity but needs to underpin the technical aspects of playing the external supporter.

He hopes to do that in the coming years in Cincinnati, and although the situation of the contract is less than ideal, he has no bad will for the franchise.
“I’m still new here. We still have a long future ahead,” he said.
