Shohei Ohtani and his agent were beaten with a lawsuit by an investor and real estate corridor in Hawaii, claiming that they fired them from a luxury housing development of $ 240 million through the use of their celebrity status.

“This case is about abuse of power,” the demand continued. “The defendants used threats and legal claims without foundation to force a commercial partner to betray their contractual obligations and strip the plaintiffs of the same project that they conceived and built.
“The defendants must be responsible for their actions, not protected by fame or the agents behind the scene that act with impunity. The plaintiffs provide this demand to expose the misconduct of the accused and ensure that the contract rules, the fair treatment and the responsibility also apply to all, celebrities or not.”
Ohtani and Balelo are accused of tortuous interference and unfair enrichment, while undermining their interests in another company.
The Balelo, Caa agency, declined to comment on the demand, according to the AP.

Balelo threatened to remove Ohtani from the agreement if his own demands were not met, the lawsuit said.
“Kingsbarn began to capitulate all the whims of Balelo,” the suit said. “Over time, it became increasingly obvious that Kingsbran was more concerned with preserving his relationship with Nani than honoring his obligations with his business partners.” Ohtani signed his approval agreement with developers in 2023.
This is not the first time that Ohtani has a drama outside the field that involves large sums of money. His former interpreter, Ipei Mizuhara, is complying with a prison sentence for theft and fraud after stealing Ohtani money to pay the game debts. The money delivered to the betting corridors was from the Ohtani bank account.

Ohtani became the first person since 2018 to reach more than 40 home runs in three consecutive seasons, since it competes for a quarter MVP in the last five years for leading Dodgers in the west of the National League.
