- It is rumored that the M5 iPad Pro has two front cameras, but this is uncertain
- Two unboxing videos seem to contradict each other
- We will know with certainty when the M5 iPad Pro is launched in a few weeks
Last week, last week he saw a great Apple filtration when the next M5 iPad Pro was discouraged in detail by several prominent Russian youtubers. It is the second time that an apparently real Apple product has escaped from containment before the launch, with the M4 MacBook Pro revealed earlier than planned in October 2024. And with almost all the M5 iPad Pro Secret that are being pushed into light, we have now received the answer to most of our questions, except one.
In July, Bloomberg’s reporter Mark Gurman said Apple was working to add a second front camera to the M5 iPad Pro. The first Unboxing video that revealed this device (published by Youtuber Wylsacom) seemed It has a camera on the front.
However, in his possession in the newsletter published this weekend, Gurman said he could “say with certainty” that the M5 iPad Pro, in fact, would present two front cameras. And now, it seems that we have confirmation of that idea.
This is because a second Russian youtuber (Romancev768) managed to reach a M5 iPad Pro filtrate, and its Unboxing video specifically showed the second front camera. In your video, you can see a lens on the long edge of the tablet and another on its short side.
Romancev768 pointed out that the second lens does not seem to be a true camera, since they could not take photos with her, and reflected that it could be a sensor to help with Apple’s desktop view video function.
On the other hand, the YouTuber also said that the camera could simply be blocked by the software and will unlock when the device starts. Given Gurman’s writing that a second “camera” would be present (not an additional camera and sensor), the last option could be the most likely.
Chamber improvements?
Adding a second camera could potentially improve video performance and facial identification recognition, regardless of whether you are using the tablet in portrait or landscape mode. Presumably, the device would only choose the best lens for work without having to turn it manually, which would allow you to use it in the way it is more comfortable.
Interestingly, Gurman did not seem to be aware of the Romancev768 video. Apparently in the light of Wylsacom saying that the front camera of the M5 iPad Pro was the same single lens configuration as the M4 model, Gurman pointed out that Apple has a story of fall characteristics (such as the double camera configuration) at the eleventh time of the time, although he added that doing so would be a “strange cut, last cut”.
Combined with the uncertainty of romancev768 about the capabilities of the new lens, we cannot be sure that it ends with two “true” cameras if you get the M5 iPad Pro. Ultimately, we will have to wait until the device is launched before being able to have confidence.
What else is new?
Unboxing M5 iPad Pro videos gave us more clarity on two other features that are rumored for Apple’s tablet.
The first is the introduction of Apple’s M5 chip. According to the reference points published by Wylsacom, this chip is approximately 10% faster in the performance of a single nucleus and 16% faster in multiple core tests. As for its graphic output, this is an impressive 34% faster than the M4.
The second change is an increase in the input level of 8 GB to 12 GB, which should contribute a higher performance to the iPad Pro. Curiously, the filtered reference points show that this amount of RAM of 12 GB is present in the iPad Pro base level M5 with 256 GB of storage. In the M4 version, the 256 GB and 512 GB models had 8 GB of memory, while the storage to 1TB or 2TB increased the RAM to 12 GB. If that means that 1TB and 2TB editions of M5 iPad Pro will also offer greater memory capabilities for now.
It is possible that the problem of the front lenses is not yet resolved, but the M5 iPad Pro is reaching a more clear and more clear approach. With its expected launch in the coming weeks, there is not much time until you can try all its new features.
