- Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 Update 1.1.1 has landed on all platforms except Nintendo Switch
- Add a lot of free life characteristics, in addition to a new natural wonder
- The paid content covers a new leader and two new civs
The latest update for the strategy game Sid Meier’s Civilization 7Update 1.1.1, It is here and includes a healthy mixture of free and paid content for players.
In my eyes, the most significant addition is the reintroduction of the rapid movement. This configuration disables movement animations for its units and has been a basic element of Civilization Games in recent years. I personally love detailed animations in Civilization 7 But, when you play many consecutive games, then turning them off is a huge time savings that increases markedly.
The generation of maps has been adjusted, with the introduction of a completely new predetermined starting position option known as ‘standard’. This will feel familiar Civilization 6 Veterans, since it offers randomization and a minor approach to more predictable continents.
The previous default configuration has been renamed ‘Balanced’ and can be selected in advanced options. It will also remain the predetermined option in multiplayer mode. The Firexis Games developer has also assured fans that they are still preparing more variety of maps, generation and new larger maps.
Now you can also change the name of settlements and command units, allowing more freedom and personalization.
Some general user interface improvements have been implemented, mainly focusing on increasing the visibility of important information such as current age progress or unit’s health. You will also find a new ‘restart’ button in the main menu, which allows you to restart your current game with the same configuration in the first laps.
Finally, a new natural wonder, Mount Everest has been added. It offers useful tile bonuses and reveals all mountain tiles in its continent when it is discovered for the first time.
