- The Aizu Prime line range of 12 Sigma lenses presents a T1.3 opening throughout the alignment
- The large -format Aizu cousins promise excellent bokeh and natural image quality in all areas
- The next zooms of the AF Cine line will be the first cinema lenses compatible with Sigma
Sigma has introduced two new film lens series, one of which, the Aizu Prime line, has the fastest opening in the world of T1.3 in all its focus lengths.
The full line of Aizu will eventually comprise 12 large format lenses that cover the range of focal length of 18 mm to 125 mm, all of which will be available both in PL MOUT and SONY. However, the initial launch, in August 2025, will see only eight of these (covering the range of 25 mm to 75 mm nucleus) launched. Prices are still TB.
Sigma promises exceptional image quality throughout the range, with the optics designed specifically to deliver a natural aspect with minimal distortion and focus breathing. They will also demonstrate the color balance, contrast and the characteristics of the Bengal throughout the range, to easily help filmmakers achieve a more unified appearance.
This maximum opening T1.3, meanwhile, should give users the ability to achieve a very shallow field depth and a soft and attractive bokeh. Sigma has filmed a short film with the range to demonstrate what they can do (see below).

Attend
Despite being relatively compact and light (all the initial eight weight, either around 3.6 lb / 1.7 kg), the Aizu Prime line lenses have a circle of image of 46.3 mm of great diameter, which allows them to be used not only with Super 35 and a complete picture, but also large format cameras such as Vistiscion and Arri Alexa LF Open Gate.
AF and FF arrive at the end of this year
Together with Aizu’s main announcement, Sigma also revealed that two new full -box zoom lenses for its AF Cinema line is currently developing. These will be the first sigma cinema lenses that will admit the automatic approach and will be available in L-Mount and Sony E-Mount. Sigma says they will offer excellent optical performance (derived from the designs of two existing SIGMA art lenses, designed for photography) and an almost silent AF operation.
First to arrive it will be the Sigma 28-45 mm T2 FF, due to the launch in November 2025. It will be followed by the Sigma 28-105 mm T3 FF in the spring of 2026. The price remains TB.
