
London: The Government of Sindh, in collaboration with the Oxford Pakistan program (OPP), has announced the establishment of two prestigious scholarships on behalf of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
The scholarships will be part of the OPP Postgraduate Scholarship Program and will support exceptionally talented students from Sindh to continue postgraduate studies at Oxford University, a press release issued on Friday.
The announcement of these scholarships was made during an official visit to the University of Oxford by the president of the Popular Party of Pakistan (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and Sindh’s prime minister, Murad Ali Shah.
They were organized for lunch by Lady Margaret Hall’s director (Benazir Bhutto’s Alma Mater), Professor Stephen Blyth, and were informed of the OPP vision and initiatives, as well as the fundamental support of Lady Margaret Hall for OPP .
At lunch they also attended Mrs. Sanam Bhutto, Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s sister; writer, historian and student of LMH, Victoria Schofield; and major delegates of the governments of Sindh and Baluchistan.

This fund will provide annual financial support to up to six outstanding SNDH students every year to obtain a postgraduate degree in Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, which includes up to three scholarships for candidates under the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto scholarship and up to three scholarships under the Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Scholarship.
