Sindh CM announces 14 -day independence celebrations

Sindh’s prime minister Syed Murad Ali Shah announced that this year’s independence day celebrations will take place for 14 days, from August 1 to 14, under the Marka-E-HAQ issue. “

Speaking at a press conference in Karachi with high -level ministers Sharjeel Inam Memon and Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that extended celebrations demonstrate a unified effort of federal and provincial governments to commemorate May national achievements.

He said that the decision was taken in coordination with the federal government to strengthen the importance of national independence.

On August 14 it would not be limited to a single day this year.

The prime minister pointed out that the Armed Forces of Pakistan gave a decisive response to the neighboring country, and the events throughout August will recognize it.

He added: “Those who do not participate in these celebrations will be noted by the people.”

“We have never accepted defeat. We will not cancel any program for fear of terrorism,” Shah said.

He assured that the police, the rangers and the Pakistan army are completely prepared to maintain public security during the celebrations.

He also asked the media to support the campaign highlighting individuals, homes, vehicles, stores and public buildings decorated for Independence Day.

Shah mentioned that Sindh has always led from the front and will continue to do so.

When commenting on possible changes in the cabinet, he added: “When I decide to make changes, I will know and everyone will know.”

In support, Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori met with a delegation from the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Pakistan (FPCCI), directed by Senior Vice President Senior Saquib Fayyaz Magoon, to discuss preparations for Independence Day.

Tessori emphasized the importance of the participation of the business community in the “Marka-E-HAQ” campaign and said it is a collective responsibility to celebrate the occasion in a dignified way.

The FPCCI delegation assured total support and active participation in planned events.
