The Sindh government issued a notification on Monday to extend the last date to acquire the new plates numb for vehicles from August 14 to October 31.
The notification occurred a few hours after the Minister of Special Taxes and Taxes of Sindh, Mikesh Kumar Chawla, said on the floor of the Sindh Assembly that the Sindh government could consider extending the date of the new types of types of types.
The new numbers with Ajrak Design numbers have special characteristics, which according to the government are legible by the surveillance chambers of the Safe City project.
Responding to a call attention notice by the MQM Qurat-Ul-Aen Khan member during the Sindh Assembly on Monday, he said that the new plates are applicable in Sindh and the application will be strict everywhere.
He mentioned that the new numbers plates were introduced in 2021, and within two or three months, new centers in Korangi, the area of the site and Gulshan-E-iqbal will be established. The Khan Qur’an pointed out that the application is lax in rural areas, while Karachi residents are being unnecessarily attacked. “The deadline given is too short, and the public faces serious difficulties. The government should reconsider,” he said.
Consequently, the deadline has been extended by the Government.
The Sindh Assembly has unanimously approved a resolution to pay tribute to martyrdom police officers. The resolution was presented by the member of the Popular Party of Pakistan (PPP) Farooq Awan, who asked Sindh’s government to provide medical care, education and a special package of benefits for the families of police martyrs.
The Interior Minister, Sindh Zia-Ul-Hassan Lanjar, supported the resolution, stating: “Today is Police Day, and the resolution is of great importance in the Chamber. On the same day, the inspector General of Police at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was martyred. The martyrs of the Sindh police established their lives to protect the lives and property of the people.”
He said he had personally visited the areas of Katcha, where police officers are carrying out operations bravely against terrorists. These areas are so difficult to access that even APCs (armored personnel) are struck, but police personnel are still resolved. “
The local government minister, Saeed Ghani, also supported the resolution, saying that Farooq Awan services are part of the story. “He was attacked but returned to the field with a renewed dedication,” he said. Ghani also highlighted the need of the Modern Weapons and Technology Police, noting that “terrorists have access to advanced weapons and facilities that the Police do not.”
He homa tribute to the sacrifices of the army, the rangers and the intelligence agencies of Pakistan, pointing out that peace has only been achieved through their joint efforts.
The opposition leader, Ali Khursheedi, also honored the police and other security force martyrs as a source of national pride, saying: “We must equip the police with modern weapons so that they can perform their duties effectively.”
