The Sindh government has accelerated its efforts to promote film, drama and documentary industries, Express News reported on Wednesday.
A meeting of the Content and Production Monitoring Board, chaired by Sindh Chief Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, was held to discuss promoting local talent, raising public awareness and creating a counter-extremism narrative. The decision was made to encourage artists and playwrights from these fields.
Sharjeel Memon announced special measures for new writers and creative producers, stating that they would be provided with financial assistance to help them complete their projects.
The meeting was attended by Sindh Information Secretary Nadeem ur Rehman Memon, Director General Public Relations Saleem Khan and other senior officials including board members Qazi Asad Abid, Warda Saleem and Azan Sami Khan.
During the meeting, DG Public Relations informed members about the council’s objectives and policy guidelines. Members presented their suggestions to promote new talents and review projects from production houses. It was decided that in the next meeting the general outlines of the projects of the production companies will be requested.
Yesterday, Sharjeel Inam Memon emphasized the need to prioritize safety and public awareness, stating that road accidents claim lives and cause disabilities, highlighting the importance of serving humanity.

According to a statement issued by Media Cell Bilawal House, the PPP chairman was briefed on various PPP projects to improve infrastructure in sectors such as agriculture, fisheries and electronic vehicle charging.
