The Sindh government has imposed section 144 throughout the province and has prohibited the Régulo on Day 9 and 10 of Muharram, according to an official notification issued on Wednesday.
The decision is part of the security measures during the month of Muharram, intended to maintain the law and order during processions and religious meetings, said Express News.
According to the notification, children under 12, the elderly and journalists will be exempt from the prohibition of assembling in the footprints. The transport of licensed weapons has also been prohibited, and all weapons permits will remain suspended throughout the province.
The department has further banned the use of drone cameras from 1 to day 10 of Muharram, and prohibited the organization of demonstrations or meetings without the previous permission of the authorities.
