The Department of Universities and Boards of the Government of SENDH has issued an official notification that grants marks of grace to students who appear in the intermediate annual exams of part I (pre-medical and pre-engineering) of 2024. The decision includes granting grace brands from 15% to 20% in the subjects of key sciences.
The notification was issued after the approval of the provincial cabinet during its meeting held on April 15. According to the directive, students will receive 20% of grace brands in chemistry and 15% in physics and mathematics.
The Karachi Intermediate Education Board has been informed of the decision, and the implementation instructions have been issued accordingly.
The notification, signed by Sharifuddin, board section officer in the Department of Universities and Boards, directs the president of the Karachi Intermediate Board to continue with the necessary arrangements to apply the Cabinet decision.
It is important to keep in mind that currently, the Karachi Intermediate Board does not have a permanent president. The position is temporarily occupied by the president of the Karachi Registration Board.
The decision follows the recommendations taken by a special committee formed by the provincial cabinet, aimed at facilitating academic pressure on students and addressing interruptions in the educational system.
