Karachi: The Government of Sindh has announced awards for vehicles, stores and buildings better decorated in relation to the celebrations of Independence Day, August 14, throughout the province.

Sindh’s prime minister Murad Ali Shah, who went to a press conference in Karachi, encouraged the general public participation in the concerts organized in Karachi, Hyderabad and Sukkur, stating that Karachi would be at the forefront of the Festivities of Independence.

Planned activities include a poetry night, a Rickshaw rally, the formation of a human flag and public competitions.

The CM said that efforts were underway to organize the car and the heavy manifestations of bicycles, as well as fairs for women and paint competitions.

The Department of Culture has received instructions to hold singing competitions. CM Shah also mentioned that Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai Mela from August 9 to 11 would reflect the spirit of Independence Day.

He directed the IGP and Cava traffic to end traffic plans, urging citizens to cooperate during demonstrations, even if they were bothered, “for the good of Pakistan.”

The prime minister said that the formal invitations would be sent to all political parties to participate in the events, and the school schedules would not be affected. The Education Department is also organizing separate programs.

In addition, he added that on August 5 he would be marked with a special event in protest against the abrogation of the special state of Kashmir, while an important separate event will also take place for people with disabilities.
