Six bicapieles drowned bicapiers recovered

The bodies of six members of two families who had drowned in the Indo and Jhelum rivers have been found.

In Bhakkar, a family excursion to the Indo River ended in tragedy when a 21 -year -old woman drowned along with her two young cousins. According to local officials, a six -year -old girl slipped into the river, after which her 13 -year -old sister jumped to save her.

Seeing both girls drowning, his 21 -year -old cousin also jumped into the river to rescue them. However, the strong current swept the three in deeper waters.

Upon hearing the help shouts of Lal Shah, the woman’s husband, local residents began a search and recovered the bodies of the river after approximately half an hour.

Bhakkar district police officer, Shehzad Rafiq Awan, told Express PAkGazette that the deceased woman had been married 15 days before and was visiting a relative, Syed Taqqi Shah, in Jhok Jando, along with her husband, from the nearby city of Behal.

Due to the proximity of the river, they had gone to tour the Basti Mian Khan Dyke with the two young cousins.

The woman’s funeral was held in Kathanwalla and the daughters of Taqi Shah in Jhok Jando.

The DPO explained that the incident had occurred during the day and that the water had seven to eight feet deep in the place where the six -year -old girl had drowned. His 13 -year -old sister and his newly married cousin jumped to the same dangerous area in an attempt to save her, which turned out that the three lost their lives.

As the area descended in sadness about the tragedy, the official emphasized the importance of avoiding young children to the banks of the rivers.

He suggested that even adults should prefer alternative locations for recreation.

Meanwhile, the bodies of three members of a family of Kot Lashkari Khan in the Sahiwal district were recovered from the Jhelum River.

The family had gone to the river for recreation on the third day of Eid. A woman was taking selfies near the river when she slipped into the water. Her sister tried to rescue her.

Finally, four family members were swept while trying to save themselves from drowning.

Local residents managed to save a young man, Zeeshan Anwar.

Sarfaraz Raja, his wife Nida and his sister -in -law Nazia Sajad drowned in the river. Their bodies were found seven kilometers downstream 20 hours later.

The bodies were recovered by local divers and rescue teams 1122.
