- Slack is the last software suite to obtain a great discount from the United States government.
- Slack Enterprise Grid will cost 90% less, 70% less for the complement of AI
- Adobe, Google and Microsoft have also offered discounts
Trump’s effort to centralize the US government expense and reduce costs, driven by the Government Efficiency Department (Doge) of Elon Musk, seems to be working, because Slack is only the last in a growing list of companies that seek to gain government contracts offering strong discounts.
Salesforce confirmed that he would offer a Network of Slack companies to US federal agencies with a significant discount of 90%, with Slack AI for Enterprise also in government clients cards with a discount of almost 70%.
The United States General Services Administration (GSA) confirmed that the agreement would be honored until November 30, 2025.
Slack to offer 90% discounts to federal US agencies.
“According to Onegov, Salesforce is the last company to provide prices improvements and is expected more this year,” said the GSA.
The Commissioner of the Federal Acquisition Service of GSA, Josh Gruenbaum, explained: “The private sector is experiencing first -hand through the Onegov initiative that President Trump’s GSA is committed to being a good partner while we work together to offer the best tools for the government at the best value for taxpayers.”
The Government was previously eligible for significant discounts in multiple agencies, however, by centralizing software acquisition, the United States now has even more purchasing power, unlocking some serious discounts.
“This unified model reflects the central role of GSA in the acquisitions, maximizing cost savings, reducing redundancy and simplifying the acquisition with prices and terms consisting throughout the federal government,” the GSA added.
Part of a broader impulse under the executive order of President Trump to consolidate the acquisition, Salesforce, owned by Salesforce, is only one of several software offers that are presented to the United States government. Adobe, Google and Microsoft have also offered healthy savings to Trump’s government.
In addition to saving costs for the US taxpayer, the broader effort also plays in the technological transformation of the United States, hoping that the right and effective tools can greatly improve efficiency, simplify operations and eliminate operational inefficiencies.
“Together with the Salesforce’s robust ecosystem, data processes and AI agents, Slack allows government agencies to improve productivity and offer results focused on citizens with precision and speed,” added the president of the Public Sector of Salesforce, Dave Rey.
