Smokey Robinson has just obtained a lawyer on board to help him fight the sexual accusations made against him.
On May 6, four anonymous anonymous amanists of the iconic musician, going for alias Jane Doe, accused him of raping them and assaulting them “repeatedly” during his mandate of working for him.
Lawyer Christopher Frost, who represents the Be with you singer, issued a statement to PEOPLE Magazine, considering the accusations as “an ugly method of trying to extract money from an 85 -year -old American icon.”
He also said that his team “would address the numerous aspects of the complaint that challenges credulity, as well as problems related to alleged deadlines, inconsistencies and relations between the plaintiffs and others.”
Frost, who also represents Robinson’s wife, Frances, said the producer “will respond in his own words” in time, and will soon present a legal response in court.
“We ask anyone who follows this case that reserves the trial as the evidence comes to light and all the real facts of the case are developed,” Frost said.
“We will ask the Court to dismiss the claim. We will also ask the court to address that in their statements to the press about Mr. Robinson, the plaintiff’s lawyers have reached beyond the limits of freedoms that even lawyers are generally allowed in this context,” he concluded.
This comes after Smokey Robinson, he told the Daily mail On May 7, through a phone call that was “horrified” by the atrocious accusations made against him.
