Energy Minister Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari has said that the idea that the government is against solarization is completely false and that he fully supports it, but in a way that is fair to all consumers and does not place an unfair burden on non-solar consumers. However, in a statement, the minister said that solar energy offsets energy generated from fossil fuels, although only during solar hours of the day. During the night, stable/dispatchable power generation sources are mandatory for the power grid to remain stable and cater to dynamically changing load conditions.
