- There is a new update now implemented for Sonos Ace’s headphones
- Bring the long -awaited Truecinema function, and TV Audio Swap can now admit two ACE headphones
- Sonos also promises more natural calls and greater noise cancellation
Sonos is marking a year since the launch of the Ace de Sonos, the first and expected pair of headphones of the company on the company’s ear, with an important software update that offers a very anticipated set of functions.
Arriving now as a free update, the launch presents several new features and expands the existing ones to help the ACE stand out in an increasingly competitive market.
The headphones on the ear are a space full of people, with main players such as the newly released Sony Wh-000xm6, and Sonos leans in what distinguishes the AS: deep integration with the company’s homemade audio ecosystem, particularly its sound bars.
In our review, we call the best headphones to watch movies, and this update only improves that capacity. One of the main improvements is based on SWAP Audio TV, a feature that allows users to send audio wirelessly from a sound bar (such as the arch, the beam or the lightning) directly to the ACE.
With the update, this function now admits two pairs of headphones simultaneously. That means that two users can listen to synchronization through their own Aceic headphones without disturbing anyone else in the room: it was one of the most requested features of Sonos fans after the launch of the ACE.
It could be said that Truecinema debut for Ace Sonos is even more exciting. This feature is designed to create a more immersive and spatial space audio experience that feels less like headphones reproduction and more like a complete sound of home film.
Better yet, Sonos promises that the audio produced, well reproduced in the headphones, will be close to what you get from the sound bar configuration for your own space. Working together with SWAP Audio TV, Truecinema requires an arc Sonos, Arco Ultra, Beam or Ray connected to its TV, with the resulting experience that offers a more natural and precise sound.
Improvements for active noise (ANC) are also included in the update. Sonos is using on -board sensors to detect variables such as hair, hats and glasses, which can affect the seal around the ear and, therefore, the effectiveness of the noise cancellation. Ace headphones then make real -time settings to refine noise cancellation, depending on the tests in a diverse group of users.
Finally, Sonos presents Sidetone, a characteristic that makes telephone calls sound more natural when noise cancellation is enabled. With Sidetone, he will listen to a bit of his own paid voice through the headphones, avoiding the disorientor ’empty’ effect that often accompanies Anc completely during the calls.
In total, these updates (TV audio exchange for two, Truemema, Improved Anc and Sidetone) mark a significant evolution for Ace Sonos. With most of the problems of serious applications solved and a new CEO to the helm, this update rewards the first users and could convince those who are still undecided to give it a closer look. The sound of Sonos remains a price of $ 449 / £ 449 / au $ 699.
The update begins to be implemented today, on June 10, and can be installed through the Sonos or Android application; Just make sure your ACE headphones are connected through Bluetooth. I hope it is a trend that Sonos continues with the AS, eventually implementing more functions and introducing more products.
There is still a characteristic that Sonos fans want more, but we have not yet seen: support to act as a complete speaker option inside the multiple sound room ecosystem. Sonos told Techradar in the launch of the ACE that this could be technically possible, but it has not yet appeared.
It would be useful for people who have one of the best playcases or other music player as part of their Sonos system, because then it can be heard in the high quality ace wirelessly. Maybe that is the next great update.
